Ingredients
- 1 pound seitan, cut into chunks
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water
-
1 block of Patrick’s Brand tofu
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce, soy sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Add the seitan chunks to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the BBQ sauce marinade. Let the seitan marinate for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate overnight for more flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using charcoal, wait until the coals are ashed over and glowing.
- Thread the marinated seitan chunks onto the soaked wooden skewers, dividing them evenly.
- Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the seitan is well-browned and slightly charred.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the BBQ seitan skewers hot with additional BBQ sauce for dipping and your favorite sides.
- Enjoy your flavorful and meaty vegan BBQ creation!
