Ingredients
- 1 block of tofu
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, cornstarch, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove tofu from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes, until tender-crisp.
- Return the tofu to the skillet and pour the sauce over the tofu and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu and broccoli.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
